Andrew Green
Andrew has a Degree in Agricultural Technology from Harper Adams Agricultural College and a Diploma in Health and Safety from Aston University and The Health & Safety Executive.
After a period working on a range of farms in Australia, he came back to the UK and joined his father’s firm.
His experience of working on farms in the UK and abroad along with that of working as an HM Agricultural Inspector with the HSE allowed him to develop the health and safety systems that are still at the heart of what Green's do.
He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health and a Member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management
Away from work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and has re-discoverd a passion for photography
Matt Acton
Having studied agriculture at Oatridge Agricultural College and at Edinburgh University, Matt went on to work in a variety of roles in farming, including on large scale arable farms in England, and working on mixed arable and livestock farms in East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.
Following this, He embarked on a career in the fire service spanning 29 years and achieving the rank of Area Commander.
As well as providing operational response to fires and other emergency incidents, his work included contributing to the planning and safe delivery of a number of high profile public events, including the Edinburgh Festival and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay and Street Party. He also played a key role in the planning and delivery of Operation Unicorn following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
He is rightly proud and honoured to receive the King’s Fire Service Medal for distinguished service, awarded by His Majesty the King in the Birthday Honours of 2023.
Qualified with NEBOSH General Certificate and in Hazardous Materials and Environmental Protection, He is currently Technical IOSH affiliated and working towards Chartered status.
Matt joined Greens of Haddington in 2023
An avid rugby supporter, He also has a keen interest in sea kayaking and has recently challenged himself by taking up stand-up paddleboarding.
Sam Gray
Having grown up on the edge of Romney Marsh and the marshes of North Kent, Sam has always wanted to have a career involving outdoor work yet being part of a team. Having graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a planning degree Sam headed into London. Realising soon after that it was not for him he joined a multi-national engineering firm based in Scotland.
Sam studied for his NEBOSH Construction and a Diploma in The Management Of Health and Safety whilst gaining experience on a variety of construction projects including wind farms, electrical substations and High Voltage subsea connections to name but a few.
Outside of the office Sam has a love for most sports, an appreciation for the countryside and most importantly he is a family man.
In 2014 Sam joined Greens of Haddington

Lou Lovie
Lou has worked within admin roles for around 6/7 years now. After leaving school with no idea what kind of career she was looking to progress she began working full time in retail, where she grew from a checkout assistant to a team leader. After leaving retail Lou has worked within the admin sector and has loved it.
Outside of work Lou enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going on days out with her daughter.
Lou joined Greens of Haddington in 2023, shortly after moving to Haddington.
